Building a stellar team is a fine art. Try too hard, you come across as overbearing. Don’t try at all, in the wise words of Ric Elias, “your culture is what you tolerate”. What I’ve learned most, the best leaders evoke incredible thoughtfulness. You can tell they’ve devoted a ton of energy to you and the rest of the team and how everyone can work together.
